A bridal keepsake from a bride to herself.
Tadaaaa... Here is the latest keepsake, a BRIDAL one!
My friend Hourie, who got married in Montreal at the end of September, gave me left-over pieces of her gorgeous blush silk and tulle wedding dress for a custom keepsake. She received it yesterday so I can share it now :)
I customized the illustration for her with her wedding hair and the beautiful head piece she had, and I drew the top of the dress. The bottom was quite challenging with the delicate, thin and light fabrics!
I chose this dark pomegranate color for the background as a reminder of all the pomegranates that were used as decorations at the wedding. We learned that, for the Armenians, pomegranates are a symbol of fertility.
I can't wait to make more bridal pieces! Hint: More are coming with gorgeous fabrics!
Another hint: if you are a bridesmaid, what better gift can you team up to give your bride? You must surely have access to where she had her dress made or altered, to get extra fabric ;)
Here is what Hourie had to say about it:
This makes me very happy, as you can imagine. You can read more reviews here.
