INTENTIONAL PARENTING

I am a forever student of positive, gentle parenting, and I love growing and being a better parent every day.

I’ve found that the key to successful intentional parenting is open-mindedness and mindfulness. I am by no means a perfect mom but I do believe that if we are only reactive, we might miss meaningful connections with our children. And if that happens frequently, they might gradually give up on connecting with us. Practicing mindfulness in all aspects of our life creates a connection with ourselves and the people around us, including our children. This is the most important thing for me as a parent: being available and attuned to my children’s needs at any age, and for them to know that I am on their side no matter what.

Do you agree with the statements below?

Of course, everything is general and wouldn’t apply to every case and every child, and none of it does any good when taken to an extreme or obsessive level. With that said…

I think the general vibe of these statements is what I tend to be inspired by as a parent.
